A Thanksgiving Ab Workout

17 Nov

Don’t worry, tomorrows announcement will more than make up for my post lack-age this week.

I was up way past my bedtime last night so I decided to do a post today that exhibits my excitement for Thanksgiving.

I missed Thanksgiving last year because I was in Australia and the Skype session I had with the fam wasn’t enough to make up for missing my favorite holiday!

Thanksgiving is always a showcase of delicious food savored over the loudest laughing I have ever heard in my life. Get my mothers family into a room and we will all have rock hard abs by the time we leave from all the laughing.

Should be enough to work off that Thanksgiving feast!

Dinner is usually potluck and I always try to bring some culinary skills to the table.

Here’s what I plan on making to give you a little preview.

Right when I saw Mama Pea’s recipe, I immediately bookmarked it for a Thanksgiving dish. I love it because me and my cousin can eat it as a main because we’re vegetarian, but it looks mouth-watering enough for the rest of the fam to enjoy as a side dish.

I’d love to be ambitious and make my own cornbread, but seeing as I arrive the day prior to Turkey Day, I’ll most likely be buying this at the store. But I have a vision of using Jalepeno Cornbread, so hopefully this exists at the Wholf.

I’ll also be making a raw chocolate chile truffle which I learned to make at one of the raw foods cooking classes I took.

I have this current obsession with spicy chocolate and everyone else who’s tried my mole seems to agree.

And I’ll be making these. But I don’t think I can wait a week for that so celebretory cocktails for finishing half of my exams! woop.

I’m also going to prepare some sort of vegetable side dish that I haven’t decided on and may whip up a quick batch of the mole as a dip for chips. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the family has to bring to the table.

What are you excited most about Thanksgiving?

Any special dishes in mind?

Also, get your butt back here tomorrow for my announcement. You don’t want to miss this.

x
